POP loh!

ha i am back. have not been updating for ages~a lot of things happened over these few months. went to taiwan for training last month for about a month. life there wasnt too good and i experienced all kinds of weather there. the first few days rained like mad and the temperature was damn low. there was one night where the place looked damn misty like those you see in typical ghost movies. anyway the live-firing there was great. fired the FS round with my tank. the feeling was superb man, at least i dont fire the little pebbles that infantry people fire :p we fired at a distance of around 1 km and the range was near the sea. i felt great at the last day of training when we handed over our tanks. I spent 2 full days servicing and cleaning up my tank. and that was the first time i ever saw the compartments of my tank being white and shiny ha. R&R was good too. went Xi Men Ding and Shi Lin Ye Shi. we ate the big chicken chop over there and i tried the chou dou fu there lol. and before the R&R we were each given a pack of 3 condoms -.- . doubt anyone will use it anyway. and i bought quite a lot of things there.

friday was my POP. hmm finally i become a commander after 9 months in NS. I still remember vividly the first day i went tekong for my BMT, where i was still a blur recruit who knows nuts about NS. I wanted to become an officer, but i guess this dream will never be fulfiled. but I dont feel sad about it now, for i have got to know a lot more people after going through 3 courses. SISPEC was the place where i met the best section mates. the Tank Commander Course was the place i met great friends. the 21 of us undergone 18 weeks of shit to become a 3SG. compared to the armour infantry people we had a hell lot more of things to do cos we have very limited manpower. life was tough but it was the first time i ran 9mins 15 s for my 2.4, getting my gold in ippt and also my first time running my soc in 8mins 15s. ha all thanks my my 2IC 1WO Low Hak Chia. he's a great leader, someone whom i respect a lot.

I passed out from ATI with pride. the feeling was great when we drove into the parade square in our tanks and then marching out as a contingent. TCC stood out as we were the smallest contingent wearing the coverall instead of No. 4.

tomorrow will be my posting. hope i will be posted to somewhere good. i dont want to suffer for the next one year of my NS lol. i still have 1 year and 26 more days to go ;)
