my first car accident happened today along PIE. it was raining and there were quite a bit of cars on the road. i was at the outer most lane and i braked when the car in front of me braked. i was a bit of a distance away from the car when i braked. just when i was moving off this lao pok car came from behind and hit my car. there goes my clean record of no accidents on the road (apart from the scratching of car in carparks, the minor knock on another car in the car park etc etc).
turned out it was an uncle driver and he claimed that i jam braked and although he stepped his brake his car just could not stop. i recall vaguely that either the BTT or FTT handbook stated that you shouldn't floor the brakes cos the car will end up skidding on the road or something. oh well that's besides the point. anyway i guess no matter how he argues it will still be his fault cos he knocked me from behind. this time i am so glad that i didn't tail gate the car in front of me.
now i realise my car boot cant be closed properly, and there are dents on the car boot. i was wondering how the mechanics are going to fix the whole thing. seems to me like the whole thing needs to be replaced. the only concern i have now is that my parents will be inconvenienced by this, and once again i have disappointed my mom by causing damage to her car again.
